Fan Etiquette and Support - Be an Educated Fan:
#1. Know about your award-winning teams
Eagle Robotics has two teams.
One is comprised of 9th and 10th graders. It is called Eagle Robotics Diamond Plate, and goes by the number 11364. Click here to meet Team 11364 and here see how 11364 qualified for the Georgia State Championship. Diamond Plate reached the semifinals of the State Championship, but did not advance to the South Super Regional
The other is comprised of 11th and 12th graders. It is called Eagle Robotics Carbon Fiber, and goes by the number 7373. Click here to meet Team 7373 and here to see how 7373 qualified for the Georgia State Championship. Carbon Fiber won the Think Award at the State Championship and advanced to the South Super Regional.
The teams were recently featured in the Marietta Daily Journal. You can see that article here. Both teams individually earned the highest award possible (the Inspire Award) in separate competitive events, or qualifiers, this season. To give perspective, there are 93 First Tech Challenge teams in the state of Georgia. Seven Inspire Awards were given out this season. Two of those were won by Eagle Robotics teams.
#2. Learn about the game
Use the animation video at the top of this page, and the downloadable one-page fan guide to educate yourself on how the game works. The fan experience is immensely enhanced by understanding what the teams are trying to achieve, how to score, and what the rules and penalties are.
#3. Know how to support and cheer for teams
All fans of Eagle Robotics are encouraged to cheer for us as we compete. Since this competition is alliance-based, however, it is most productive if fans cheer not only for our team, but also for the alliance in which we are currently competing. Alliances are indicated by color; red or blue. So, when you cheer for team 7373 or 11364, cheer also for the alliance color we happen to be representing in that match. Fans in the know can actually help our team's ranking with judges. Judges document the enthusiasm of our fans, and the team's embodiment of Gracious Professionalism®. Also, it helps that our fans sit together, especially if you are wearing a spirit shirt. This identifies you as a supporter of the team, and propels our points for spirit toward the Motivate Award

All supporters of Eagle Robotics are invited to tour the pit area. It is a busy and exciting place, and some basic safety rules must be followed:
- Anyone in the pits must wear safety goggles. We will be happy to furnish our guests with complimentary goggles, which need to be worn at all times in the pit - no exceptions. Please return them for the use of other guests upon departing.
- The pit is a competition area. Judging and interviewing is ongoing in the pit all day. Please respect anyone at our pit who is engaged in conversation with a team member, and allow them to complete any and all interviews.
- The pit is a shop area. Construction and repair of robots is ongoing in the pit. Power tools are in use. Please respect teams and their space, giving them a wide berth as they make repairs and transport their robots.
- Children should be under the active supervision of an adult. Do not allow children alone in the pits or at the practice field.
